Interior Re-Trim
Coachtrimmer extraordinaire Robert O'Rourke worked his magic on my rather tired interior. The car was restored at the end of the eighties but there were a number of things not done correctly, which we tried to address. I managed to find a new cigarette lighter and I also sourced a period correct Becker Europa radio. We also tried to maintain some originality, most importantly the central "Daytona" seat section. All in all I think it was a resounding success. A particular highlight was to get hold of some ORIGINAL Daytona dash fabric, which had been stored for twenty-five years and comes out on very rare occasions; I believe there is now enough left for just two more dashes.
Exterior Re-Furb
A full re-spray was out of the (financial) question but a good detail brought up the paint fantastically. Then wheels were re-furbished, bumpers re-chromed and a few other odds and ends attended to. The very fine offices of Barkaways were responsible for this work and again very satisfying was the final result. I WILL ADD MORE DETAIL PHOTOS VERY SOON.
